Common questions
My child can't work out what to do.
Tap the yellow lightbulb in the top-right corner at any time. It shows the
next thing to do — where to put a piece of track, which crate goes in which
car, or which button to press. It never runs out and there is no penalty
for using it.
They laid the track wrong and got upset.
The bin button next to undo clears the whole track so they can start again.
If they hit it by accident, one tap of undo puts every piece back.
There's no sound.
Check the speaker button on the map screen, and turn the volume up while the
game is open rather than on the home screen. Puffertown plays even when your
device is on silent, so that the train whistle still works.
How do I see what my child is learning?
Tap Grown-ups on the map and answer the question. The dashboard
shows which skills they have been practising in plain English. You can share
a picture of the week from there too — it carries no name and no photo.
How much is free?
Meadow Junction — fifteen full routes — is free forever. It is not a trial
and it does not expire. The other five regions need a purchase.
I want to restore a purchase on a new device.
Pass the parental gate, open the purchase screen and tap Restore.
As long as you are signed into the same Apple Account, it will come back at
no cost.
Is there a subscription?
No. The Family Pass is a single one-time purchase that unlocks every
region and engine permanently. There is nothing recurring to cancel, and
Meadow Junction and Free Play stay free either way.
Does it need the internet?
No. Puffertown makes no network requests at all and works exactly the same
in aeroplane mode, on a plane, or in the car.
